God loves everyone infinitely, but the amount of love a person can receive depends on their openness to it. While God offers grace to all, only those who listen to His voice and keep His covenant become His special possession. Fr. God has chosen us, but we must choose Him in return. This requires recognizing our need for salvation, seeking His will through prayer, and striving to obey His commandments. We must actively choose to follow Him as our shepherd, rather than being led by our own desires or other influences.
