After leaving Christianity at a young age, Sam encountered the Nation of Islam, read the Quran, became fascinated by Malcolm X, and nearly moved toward Islam. But when he returned to the Bible, he fell in love with Jesus in the Gospels.
Then came the turning point.
A Muslim polemicist challenged him, brought up attacks against the Bible and the deity of Christ, and humiliated him because he did not yet have the answers. That moment lit a fire in Sam’s heart to seek the truth and equip Christians so they would never be bullied or humiliated for their faith.
But the story did not end there.
Years later, Sam found his own old comments attacking Catholic apologists and speaking with disdain toward the Catholic Church. He was shocked by what he used to say — and by how much God had changed him.
