🙏 Why is Mary called Queen?
The answer is found in three beautiful invocations from the Litany of Loreto:
👑 Queen Conceived Without Original Sin
👑 Queen Assumed into Heaven
📿 Queen of the Most Holy Rosary
These royal titles are not merely honors. They proclaim God’s saving work in the Blessed Virgin Mary. Preserved from original sin by a singular grace of God, gloriously assumed body and soul into Heaven, and continuing her maternal mission through the Holy Rosary, Mary always leads the faithful to her Divine Son, Jesus Christ.
Drawing from the Douay–Rheims Bible, the Roman Catechism, the Catechism of St. Pius X, the Baltimore Catechism, the Church Fathers, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Alphonsus Liguori, St. Francis de Sales, and the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church, this short explains these profound Marian titles according to traditional Catholic doctrine.
May Our Lady, Queen of Heaven, lead us always to her Divine Son.
Ave Maria.
