During her third apparition (July 13, 1917), Our Lady showed the three little shepherds a vision of hell filled with “demons and souls in human form” (Sister Lucia, Fourth Memoir), a sobering reminder that the battle for souls — including our own — is real.
Years later, Sister Lucia famously spoke of “the final battle” between the devil and Our Lady. She also wrote that “the final battle between the Lord and the reign of Satan will be about marriage and the family.”
What can we glean from the Message of Fatima — that is, the words of the Angel of Peace (1916) and Our Lady (1917) — to engage this spiritual battle effectively in our own lives?
