Archbishop Lefebvre’s Final Interview – Alexander Poe

Amid the recent SSPX consecrations and subsequent excommunications, I thought now might be a good time to review Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre’s final interview before his death in 1991.

In it, he speaks quite clearly about the problem of modernism in Rome and why he was not interested in working with a hierarchy so clearly entrenched in heresy and apostasy.

Pope St. Pius X said that modernists “lay the axe not to the branches and shoots, but to the very root, that is, to the faith…And having struck at this root of immortality, they proceed to disseminate poison through the whole tree, so that there is no part of Catholic truth from which they hold their hand, none that they do not strive to corrupt.”

In this video, we will see that, in 1991, the Archbishop was following in the footsteps of the Society’s great namesake and calling a spade a spade.

Please pray for me, my wife, my daughter, and this channel. God bless you and thank you all so much for the overwhelming support lately!
