This week Pope Leo fumbled the Latin mass question, and now he’s warning Catholics not to “retreat into our own convictions and religious certainties.”
No… we need MORE “religious certainty”!
Jesus said He is the way, the truth and the life. He established a Church. He commanded us to keep His commandments. Those are religious certainties!
And the Pope would have us move beyond that…
Friends, what is happening to Catholic belief? No really… what do we, as Catholics, believe? Do we even know anymore?
In my new Underground I look past the Dolly Parton headlines to the quiet but deadly crisis of faith, as evidenced by Catholic priests and prelates trotting out Universal Salvationism and celebrating a lack of conviction.
The result? Catholics suddenly find themselves members of a Church of “Religious Uncertainty”.
But before the show ends, I introduce someone who puts all of these arguments into perspective: little Lucy, my granddaughter.
