Who Really Rules Your Home? Jesus Christ the King

👑 WHO REALLY RULES YOUR HOME? JESUS CHRIST THE KING

✝️ HOW TO MAKE CHRIST OUR KING • SHORT #15/21

A crucifix hangs on the wall. A Rosary rests on the table. An image of the Sacred Heart occupies a place of honor. But does Jesus Christ truly reign in the daily life of your family?

Jesus Christ is King not only of churches and nations, but also of every Catholic home. His authority extends to marriage, parenthood, family responsibilities, moral decisions, and the ordinary duties of daily life.

👑 CHRIST IS KING OF THE FAMILY

Christ’s Kingship is not merely a title we profess. His divine law must guide how we live.

Husbands and wives are called to faithful, sacrificial love. Parents must teach their children the Catholic Faith through instruction, good example, justice, and charity. Children must honor their parents, while every family member remains subject to God’s commandments.

No legitimate family authority permits sinful commands, cruelty, or abuse.

❤️ THE ENTHRONEMENT OF THE SACRED HEART

The traditional Enthronement of the Sacred Heart gives visible expression to a family’s desire to recognize Jesus Christ as its King.

Through a sacred image, prayer, and consecration, the household professes its commitment to live under Christ’s loving authority.

However, Enthronement is a devotion, not a sacrament. It does not automatically make a family holy or guarantee freedom from suffering.

Its meaning must be fulfilled through prayer, repentance, sacramental life, obedience to God’s commandments, and Christian charity.

🙏 HOW DOES CHRIST REIGN IN OUR HOMES?

Christ reigns when families:

  • Pray together and honor His Sacred Heart.
  • Attend Holy Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation.
  • Receive the sacraments worthily.
  • Teach and preserve the Catholic Faith.
  • Practice patience, forgiveness, and charity.
  • Fulfill their duties with fidelity and justice.
  • Allow God’s commandments to guide their decisions.

A sacred image reminds us whom we serve. But Christ’s Kingship must extend beyond the wall into our words, choices, relationships, and responsibilities.
