In the first reading today, the importance of examining one’s heart is emphasized as it is the temple of God. We are warned against allowing false gods or priorities to take precedence over God, turning our hearts into a “house of iniquity.” We are encouraged to be apostles for Christ, living out our faith authentically and prioritizing God above all else.
