The Book of Revelation assumes a strong understanding of the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the central doctrines of Christianity. Using Revelation 12, Genesis 3, and Genesis 37, Sam Shamoun shows how biblical prophecy draws upon earlier Scripture. He encourages the Christian woman to begin with Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, learning the character, teachings, compassion, and love of Jesus Christ.
The conversation also addresses fear of the end times, the Antichrist, persecution, suffering, and death. Sam Shamoun challenges her attachment to earthly life by discussing the persecution of Christians in India, Pakistan, Nigeria, and Syria. Jesus Christ offers believers eternal life, perfect love, perfect peace, perfect joy, and freedom from sin, disease, pain, suffering, and death. Drawing from 1 John 4:18–19, Sam Shamoun explains that perfect love drives out fear because fear involves punishment.
Sam Shamoun then explains that heaven is not merely a place—heaven is being with Jesus Christ. If Jesus Christ is absent, even a perfect place would not be heaven for a true believer. Through Isaiah 57:15, Psalm 34:18, Psalm 51:17, Matthew 11:28–30, and John 14:18–19, Sam Shamoun reveals the heart of Jesus toward the brokenhearted, weary, burdened, humble, oppressed, and crushed in spirit.
Finally, Sam Shamoun uses the illustration of Christ’s yoke to show that Christians never carry their burdens alone. When believers are weak, Jesus Christ becomes their strength and carries the burden with them. Sam Shamoun encourages this Christian woman—and every believer struggling with fear—to pray, read the Bible devotionally, study the Gospels, develop a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ, and discover why those who truly know Jesus run toward Him rather than remain terrified of Him.
