New Document from Leo’s Vatican Calls Catholics to ‘Esteem’ other Religions – Sign Of The Cross

A new Vatican document, “A Journey of Hope,” approved by Pope Leo XIV and issued by three Vatican offices to mark the 60th anniversary of Nostra aetate, calls on Catholics to regard the precepts and doctrines of other religions with “respect and esteem.” It states that Muslims adore the one God, warns against Islamophobia, and encourages dialogue and cooperation with other religious movements. Notably, it emphasizes dialogue as part of the Church’s evangelizing mission, while making no mention of conversion.

The broadcast also previews an exclusive interview with Archbishop Viganò and reports several other stories: Catholic Church staff in Saint Gallen, Switzerland, helping organize a drag show; the Netherlands euthanizing a disabled two-year-old child; the Chicago Archdiocese unveiling a database of accused clergy amid abuse payments exceeding $400 million; and Pope Leo appointing as bishop a priest who previously wrote a book about homosexual love.

The pattern is unmistakable: the Vatican calls for esteem of other religions while faithful Catholics face confusion, scandal, and betrayal. The document says nothing about conversion, because the Church’s mission has been redefined. The question is whether Catholics will recognize what is happening.
