Anticipating Dr EMJ’s discussion with a Jewish convert on AP’s channel
The hardest thing for Jewish converts to let go of is the notion that the Jewish people being chosen to enter the Old Covenant has some positive meaning now. It does not. It is over and it is sin to seek to retain it now. That old calling before Christ is nothing compared to the calling to Baptism since Christ; the old pales; it is outshone; it dissolves. And since the meaning of the Jewish people was to enter that Covenant, then when that Covenant was fulfilled, abrogated, grew old, decayed, died, then so does the positive meaning of the Jewish people. All they have left is a negative meaning to act as a thorn in the side of the Church because they are the antichrist people. This is not something anyone should want to hang on to. Those Jews who convert before the last generation, who convert today, who become Catholics, should not want to have any part whatsoever in the antichrist people, the Jews. God uses the opposition of the Jews to His own good purpose, and in God’s good time the Jewish people will convert en masse to Catholicism. Then Jewish identity will be nothing but Catholic and Christ will be All in all.
