He’s in OCIA and just went to Confession for the first time.
Afterward, all he could say was:
“Thank you, Jesus.”
He reflected on years of sin, walked into the confessional, heard the priest’s counsel, made an act of contrition, and came out knowing he had been forgiven.
That’s the heart of Confession.
It’s not about earning God’s love.
It’s about receiving the grace Christ offers through the sacrament.
For someone coming into the Church, that first Confession can be one of the most powerful moments of the entire journey.
Mercy is real. Grace is real. And you can begin again. 🙏
