Oneness Pentecostal Reads Acts 2—Then Realizes Jesus Is Not the Father | Sam Shamoun Answers – Sam Shamoun Answers

VIDEO DESCRIPTION
He joined an Apostolic Oneness Pentecostal church, was baptized only in the name of Jesus, and believed his spiritual experience confirmed that he had found the truth.

Then he examined Acts 2 carefully.

Oneness Pentecostals frequently appeal to Acts 2:38, but what happens when the entire chapter is read in context? Peter says that God worked miracles through Jesus, that God raised Jesus from the dead, that Jesus was exalted to God’s right hand, and that Jesus received the promised Holy Spirit from the Father.

If Jesus is the Father and the Holy Spirit as the same person merely appearing in different roles, how can these statements make sense?

Watch this sincere caller confront the biblical evidence, question the church he recently joined, and finally ask: “What church should I go to?”

This conversation demonstrates why doctrine cannot be established by feelings or spiritual experiences alone. Every experience must be tested by Scripture and by the apostolic faith preserved throughout Christian history.
