The people recognized Jesus as God visiting His people, but they didn’t fully understand His divinity. To truly live by the Spirit, as St. Paul instructs, we must not only acknowledge our dependence on God but actively walk according to the Spirit, rejecting worldly ways and conforming ourselves to Christ. This requires humility and a willingness to be dependent on God, not just for salvation but for guidance in living a virtuous life.
