St. Paul emphasizes that while faith, hope, and charity are all essential, charity is the greatest virtue because it endures beyond faith and hope. True charity, a supernatural love for God and neighbor, flows from a deep love for God and is characterized by selflessness and a focus on the well-being of others. To be chosen, we must answer God’s call with faith, hope, and, most importantly, charity.
